Welcome Back (to 1,300 Sophs and Juniors)

It was another hot and muggy evening on College Green on the evening of the 240th day of 2018.  After the workday on 8/28/18 had ended, I helped the President's Office by scanning PennCards at the Welcome Back Picnic for Sophomores and Juniors.  Was good to see smiling faces of students and working with my campus colleagues.  For this evening's number, we hold up 1,300, a record attendance for the Picnic this evening!  And, as our song, my favorite song with the words "Welcome Back!" - Ayyyyyyyy!

102nd Birthday

The 43rd day pf 2018 marked the anniversary of the birth of a very important person.  And Abraham Lincoln too!  But 2/12/18 would have been the 102nd birthday of Nettie Soskin, my Bubbe.  She was one of the most amazing women I have ever met and she is one of my role models.  And she could cook too!!  <3  So, to honor her, we have the number of the day as 102 and this Stevie Wonder classic as our song. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=inS9gAgSENE
