Home (after 3,954 miles)

I feel so much better on the 223rd day of 2018 because today, 8/11/18, my parents and kids returned to the US (and Oaklyn, NJ) from their trip through Portugal and Spain.  I am so thankful that they were able to have this experience but, after 11 days, I am even more thankful that they returned to our home safe and sound and filled with stories.  For the number of the day, we will use 3,954 for the number of air miles traveled in their return (Porto to Madrid to Philadelphia) and we will listen to Phillip Phillips sing about home.

102nd Birthday

The 43rd day pf 2018 marked the anniversary of the birth of a very important person.  And Abraham Lincoln too!  But 2/12/18 would have been the 102nd birthday of Nettie Soskin, my Bubbe.  She was one of the most amazing women I have ever met and she is one of my role models.  And she could cook too!!  <3  So, to honor her, we have the number of the day as 102 and this Stevie Wonder classic as our song. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=inS9gAgSENE
