Team Laurel (there have been 41,005 of them!)

The Internet is exploding on the 136th day of 2018 over whether people are hearing Yanny or Laurel.  On 5/16/18, I am firmly ensconced in Team Laurel.  Since 1880, it is estimated that 41,005 girls have been named Laurel.  So, 41,005 will be our number and, since sound frequency discussion is now also the rage, we will have this R.E.M. classic as our song of the evening.  LAUREL!

102nd Birthday

The 43rd day pf 2018 marked the anniversary of the birth of a very important person.  And Abraham Lincoln too!  But 2/12/18 would have been the 102nd birthday of Nettie Soskin, my Bubbe.  She was one of the most amazing women I have ever met and she is one of my role models.  And she could cook too!!  <3  So, to honor her, we have the number of the day as 102 and this Stevie Wonder classic as our song. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=inS9gAgSENE
