Teach Your Children (and 3,860,270 teach our children!)

The 128th day of 2018 is also Teacher Appreciation Day.  So, on 5/8/2018, I reflected on the many amazing people who taught me in my elementary, Junior High, and High School days.  And the many, many amazing individuals who have taught (and continue to teach) my kids.  Teachers are so underappreciated, and I cannot say thank you enough times to all of them.  According to my research, there are 3,860,270 teachers at last count by the US Dept. of Education so that will be our number of the day.  And this CSN song is amazing and will be our song.  Let's heed their suggestion, and teach our children well!

102nd Birthday

The 43rd day pf 2018 marked the anniversary of the birth of a very important person.  And Abraham Lincoln too!  But 2/12/18 would have been the 102nd birthday of Nettie Soskin, my Bubbe.  She was one of the most amazing women I have ever met and she is one of my role models.  And she could cook too!!  <3  So, to honor her, we have the number of the day as 102 and this Stevie Wonder classic as our song. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=inS9gAgSENE
