Cinco, Cinco, Cinco - La Isla Bonita

Excepting Leap Year, I realized today that Cinco de Mayo is on the 125th day of the year.  So on this 125th day of 2018, I had a great day at the snack stand and Anna's concert and then a nice family dinner out.  5/5/18 was an awesome day.  5/5 is day 5^3 of the year.  But we already recently honored 5, so we will stick with 5^3 (125) as the number of the day.  And, even though I do not like the cultural appropriation celebrated (poorly) on this day, let's listen to Madonna's ode to a special island.

102nd Birthday

The 43rd day pf 2018 marked the anniversary of the birth of a very important person.  And Abraham Lincoln too!  But 2/12/18 would have been the 102nd birthday of Nettie Soskin, my Bubbe.  She was one of the most amazing women I have ever met and she is one of my role models.  And she could cook too!!  <3  So, to honor her, we have the number of the day as 102 and this Stevie Wonder classic as our song. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=inS9gAgSENE
