Opening Day! (162 Game Season)

The 95th day of 2018 was the first day the Phillies would play at home in the 2018 season.  So 4/5/2018 found us, as usual, in the 400 level cheering on our team.  And, for the first time since 2011, they won on Opening Day and, although it was cold and windy, we had a great time.  They played this song at the game and I thought "boom, this is the song of the day!" since the boys ARE back in town today and the number of the day is 162 to honor the 162 game season (marathon) on which the team has just embarked.  PLAY BALL!

Sugar Cookie Day and 0 unread emails!

102nd Birthday

The 43rd day pf 2018 marked the anniversary of the birth of a very important person.  And Abraham Lincoln too!  But 2/12/18 would have been the 102nd birthday of Nettie Soskin, my Bubbe.  She was one of the most amazing women I have ever met and she is one of my role models.  And she could cook too!!  <3  So, to honor her, we have the number of the day as 102 and this Stevie Wonder classic as our song. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=inS9gAgSENE
