From 1638: The Weekend

According to Merriam Webster, the word weekend was first used in 1638.  On the 40th day of 2018, I am so happy the weekend is here.  It's been quite the week and, on 2/9/18, it was nice to have a relaxing after-work dinner with friends and colleagues and then to come home and have nice family time.  And tomorrow is Saturday, the best day of the week!  So we will have 1638 as the number and since I was working for the weekend this week, Loverboy seems appropriate!

102nd Birthday

The 43rd day pf 2018 marked the anniversary of the birth of a very important person.  And Abraham Lincoln too!  But 2/12/18 would have been the 102nd birthday of Nettie Soskin, my Bubbe.  She was one of the most amazing women I have ever met and she is one of my role models.  And she could cook too!!  <3  So, to honor her, we have the number of the day as 102 and this Stevie Wonder classic as our song. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=inS9gAgSENE
