Listen to What is Written on Your Heart (as I turn 49)

3/18/18, my 49th Birthday, the 77th day of 2018.  The number nerd in me could not stop thinking about how I turned 7*7 on the 77th day.  Hopefully, this numerology is a harbinger for an excellent year ahead.  I know I could use one!  We started the day, as we usually do on Sundays, in Church and Pastor Michael's Sermon Series on Covenant continued.  Today, I was struck by this verse:
                            Jeremiah 31:33
                               "But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days,
                                 says the Lord: I will put my law within them, and I will write it on their hearts;
                                 and I will be their God, and they shall be my people."

I have a lot written on my heart these days and much of it was felt today.  It was a day spent with family, and a day spent feeling the love from family and friends on FB.  I tried to thank or at least acknowledge each and every one.  I apologize if I missed any, but know I appreciated them all.  So I will continue to listen to my heart this year, and hold my family and friends dear in my heart.  But, instead of 3133, will go with 49 for the number of the day (age before verse, I guess) and this Roxette classic.  Thanks again, everyone, it was a great birthday!

In the Pub (from 1950) dreaming of Beauty and the Beast

It was another day of relative relaxation on the 361st day of 2018.  Got a good swim in at the gym and some down time at home and then capped off 12/27/18 with a wonderful dinner, with wonderful friends in a new place that is actually old.  Yes, we went to the PUB for the first time (amazingly enough) and, in the main dining room, all I could think is that we were in the Beast's Castle in Disney.  I was a great atmosphere and the good food and conversation made it a really nice time.  Since the PUB became the PUB in 1950, that will be our number of the day.  And, since I felt like we were in Beauty and the Beast, its theme song will be our song. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=axySrE0Kg6k

As Cold As Ice (OK, Just 39 degrees)

Merchantville Softball played Waterford Little League on the evening of the 291st day of 2018.  And, on 10/18/18, it was cooooold!  (It is always cold there but tonight it was really cold).  The first cold snap of the Fall has arrived.  I even turned on the car's heat on the trip back.  It's supposed to go down to 39 tonight (first time in the 30s since April), so 39 is our number of the day.  And, although it's not 32, I still think this Foreigner song applies. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eC99JhQq-3w
