-3 Points in Basketball ; -3 is number of the day

Well, it looks like, on the 6th day of 2018, our negative number trend will continue.  Because, on 1/6/2018, we had a day FILLED with basketball.  Alexa was on the bench (still DNP due to her sore ankle) but Collingswood won a hard fought, 6-point victory.  Six points was the same margin of victory for the men of Penn as they vanquished their biggest rival, Princeton!  But, alas, preceding the men's exciting win, the women's team fell to the same rival Princeton by 15 points.  So, 6 + 6 - 15 = -3.  And -3 is today's number.   Was hoping for a positive number today, and three wins.  But 2 wins and an amazing day with my family and the Penn Band will have to be good enough.  And, this song has made the daily post before, but not in 2018.  Sing it, Kurtis!

In the Pub (from 1950) dreaming of Beauty and the Beast

It was another day of relative relaxation on the 361st day of 2018.  Got a good swim in at the gym and some down time at home and then capped off 12/27/18 with a wonderful dinner, with wonderful friends in a new place that is actually old.  Yes, we went to the PUB for the first time (amazingly enough) and, in the main dining room, all I could think is that we were in the Beast's Castle in Disney.  I was a great atmosphere and the good food and conversation made it a really nice time.  Since the PUB became the PUB in 1950, that will be our number of the day.  And, since I felt like we were in Beauty and the Beast, its theme song will be our song. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=axySrE0Kg6k

As Cold As Ice (OK, Just 39 degrees)

Merchantville Softball played Waterford Little League on the evening of the 291st day of 2018.  And, on 10/18/18, it was cooooold!  (It is always cold there but tonight it was really cold).  The first cold snap of the Fall has arrived.  I even turned on the car's heat on the trip back.  It's supposed to go down to 39 tonight (first time in the 30s since April), so 39 is our number of the day.  And, although it's not 32, I still think this Foreigner song applies. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eC99JhQq-3w
